Traffic in the village – October update

We have now had the Speed Monitor for the whole of 2023 to date and expect to keep it for the whole year, dependent on whether Langley with Hardley Parish Council can find someone who can be trained to manage it for their regular 3-month rotations.

For the whole of October the Monitor was outside the Village Hall facing north towards Rockland and Norwich.  The table below covers the whole month.

What does it show?  A better picture than September.  Less cars overall partly because of half-term, but a higher percentage coming through within the 30MPH speed limit and less than half in excess of 40MPH.  There is still the odd lunatic driver, however.

Once again there is no pattern.  However we hope that the activities of the Community Speed Watch and local law enforcement might at least register to these drivers our commitment to keep people safe in our village.
