Children’s Play Area in Claxton – a message to everyone

Good morning

We have decided to write to you to make you aware of our new initiative.

The provision of a play area in the village is something that the Parish Council have looked to do for some time.  Pat Clare was Chair when it was first discussed and an initial survey in 2019 found significant interest.  Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic intervened and so it is only in the last few months that the Council have set up a sub committee of councillors & villagers to put the ideas into practice.

We have created a questionnaire which we would be very pleased if you can all fill out. This will enable us to gather data to support grant applications and help with fund-raising ideas in order to actually have a play area for our children and grandchildren here in the village.

Please click on this link to open the questionnaire and submit it to us – https://zxisp2yrro5.typeform.com/to/NZqeMCZm.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do contact one of the people named below or come along to a Parish Council meeting.  The next meeting is this Thursday 19 May at the Village Hall immediately after the Annual Parish Meeting which starts at 7:30pm.

Susi Catchpole and Judy Jackson will also be at the Community Café  each month and will be happy to discuss this project further.

Thank you.
