I have been a Claxton resident for 27 years and live at The Hawthorns, Church Lane with my husband Kenny along with two dogs. We have two grown up children and three grandchildren.
I have served on the Parish Council since 2011 and it has been a very enjoyable and varied time. I look forward to continuing this interesting and rewarding role following my re-election in 2015.
I take a keen interest in farming and the countryside. Other interests are reading, travelling, cycling, gardening and walking Bertie and Mabel.

My wife, Lesley and I have lived in Claxton for nearly 30 years and have brought up our two sons at Chapel Cottage. I have recently retired from a career as a community pharmacist working in Norwich and previously at Loddon. We both enjoy living in this beautiful area with our cottage looking over the Yare Valley and observing how nature changes with the seasons, particularly when walking our dog around the local lanes.
I have a broad range of interests including current affairs, sport, social history, music and the arts. I am particularly keen on travel and wildlife photography. I was co-opted onto the Parish Council in May 2012 and re-elected in 2015, and became Vice-Chairman in 2016. I am also Treasurer of the South Yare Wildlife Group.

I have been a Claxton resident since July 2014 and live at Meadow View, The Street with my wife Fiona and dog called Lily. I moved into the beautiful Marsh Barn at Claxton Corner, with my wife Jackie, in November 2011. We are joined in our home by our beautiful Labrador Mia; Wilma and Henry the cats and 3 chickens who haven’t laid an egg in a year! We now run our business, Marsh Pig, from our home however in a previous life I was a Human Resources Manager working mainly in Retail. I was co-opted onto the Council in March 2017.

I have lived in Claxton since moving from Kent with my wife, Helen, in May 2010, shortly after retiring from a 40-year career in the public sector, 24 years of which were spent overseas. Helen and our elder daughter, who lives in Norwich, were both born in the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. Our younger daughter was born in Kent and lives and works in London.
I became Clerk in May 2012, primarily to get to know Claxton and its residents better and to learn more about local government. Hopefully I’ve managed both. I try to keep active and when not working in the garden or toiling on the golf course I follow a wide range of sport, read and occasionally like to head off on my bike. I am also a regular at the Community Gym in Loddon.
In addition I’m a Trustee of the Village Hall, an Independent Trustee and Treasurer of the Pits Trust and Treasurer of the Community Gym in Loddon (see elsewhere for details). I also act as Treasurer to the Fair on the Yare Committee, offering budgetary and financial advice, but not as a member of the Committee.
