Better Broadband for Norfolk (BBfN): an update

South Norfolk Council have sent us the attached update on potentially achieving 100% coverage of superfast broadband, despite the challenge that appears to be.  According to the BT Openreach site the area covered by/from the Thurton exchange, which includes Claxton, is listed as “exploring solutions”.

An optimist could read the update as suggesting that Claxton might well get its own new fibre-enabled roadside cabinet, which would revolutionise the service for the whole village.  We don’t have a roadside cabinet of any kind in Claxton, hence the view of many others that we are likely to be in the last 5% once everyone else is sorted.  More information will be published here when it is received.
